"Stop Trying To Sell Online and Do Relationship Marketing Instead"
Starting immediately (after you get done reading this article of course), you will begin a new era in your success online. You see you have been trying to sell online all this time, and that just does not work well anymore.
I know it sounds a little weird, but you need to stop trying to sell to make money online. Instead you are going to concentrate on using relationship marketing to build a loyal following of hungry prospects and customers.
These are going to be people who will be waiting on a daily basis to receive valuable content from you. This could be video, articles, blog posts, podcasts, or any other type of content medium available.
Within this content, you are going to strategically place recommendations for products and services that you have previously tested, used with success, and know that are of high value. This means you do not recommend something you have not personally purchased yourself and tried.
I see too many people joining all sorts of affiliate programs and trying to sell products they have never used or even would need, simply because they pay a high commission. If you do this, I will almost guarantee that you will not succeed.
You need to focus on giving people high quality value (this means both content and recommendations) in your niche, and the more value you give the more you will make. Period.
Ok Juan, I understand that what I have been doing is wrong, but how exactly do I set this up to work? Here are your steps to success with an online business.
1. Set up an account with a good autoresponder company. I recommend Aweber because it is what I have used over the past 5 years. Their software is reliable, inexpensive, easy to use, and they have great support available. To learn more about them, click on the next link.

2. Choose one of your passions, something you really know a lot about and start a newsletter in this niche. For example, if you love basketball as much as I do, create a newsletter that updates people on what is going in the NBA or the NCAA. Then put out content regularly, 2-3 times a week minimum.
3. Find products that solve problems for your subscribers within a particular niche. For example, I would find products like basketball clothing, shoes, accessories, fan gear, sports specific equipment, and many other basketball items.
To make my life easy, I would probably join the affiliate program for www.Eastbay.com, because I have purchased from them before and I know they sell quality merchandise. You can also create your own product if you would like as well.
4. As you start to deliver your content, include links to recommended those products and services. Make sure this is content relavent to what you are recommending.
This will make the prospect or customer feel as if you are trying to help by providing options for them, instead of trying to just give them a bunch of links. Also make sure to include your personal opinion of what you are recommending, as this will increase your conversions tremendously.
5. Go out and get subscribers in your niche. As they subscribe, they will receive your autoresponders and the relationship building will begin.
As the relationship solidifies and you create a habit of what they can expect from you, the sales will start to flow in. The more subscribers you get, the more you will earn.
6. Rinse and repeat. Follow these same steps with a different passion and you will reproduce your results. There may be some minor alterations depending on the market, but for the most part the principles are the same.
Most of all, make sure that people can see you are sincere and passionate about what you are doing. This will guarantee that for years to come these subscribers will be loyal to you and what you recommend.
